You need software for you PC and Dreamcast before you can get this stuff done, In this step we will show you how to setup your software.

If you are going to be using a Coders cable you need to download:

• DC Load Serial DJ 3 Image
• DC Load Serial Nero Image
• DC Tool 1.0.3 (For Windows)
• DC Tool 1.0.3 (For Linux)
• Required DLLs for DC Tool Serial 1.0.3 (For Windows)

If you are using the broadband adapter I believe you need to download the following DJ images depending on what IP Addresses you want to work with:

• IP = 0.0.0.0 - DC Load IP DJ Image - Nero
• IP = 192.168.0.4 - DC Load IP DJ Image - Nero
• DC Tool IP 1.0.3(For Windows)
• DC Tool IP 1.0.3(For Linux)
• IP Upload 1.2(For Windows)
• Required DLLs for DC Tool IP 1.0.3 (For Windows)

If you are using the lan adapter I believe you need to download the following DJ images depending on what IP Addresses you want to work with:

• IP = 0.0.0.0 - DC Load IP DJ Image - Nero
• IP = 192.168.0.4 - DC Load IP DJ Image - Nero
• DC Tool IP 1.0.3(For Windows)
• DC Tool IP 1.0.3(For Linux)
• Required DLLs for DC Tool IP 1.0.3 (For Windows)

Selfbooting images came from Boob!

Unzip all the files you downloaded. For convenience put them in you C: directory on your hard Drive. I named mine CodersApp just adjust the name and location to correspond with your location.

Burn the Disk Juggler image of the DC Load Serial or if using Broadband then burn the DC Load IP DJ or Nero images also remember what IP you want to work with, they show the IP Address for networking reasons which is how you are supposed to use the Broadband adapter anyways. Usually when you setup a network it is 192.168.0.4 ( the 4 being the 4th comp or the Dreamcast server comp is 192.168.0.1 or should be).

Now connect the Coders/Serial Cable to the Dreamcast and the other
end to your PC's serial port. Make sure you know which com port on your pc that you plugged your coders cable into, it should say on your comp.
